Alternatives to an IFA – design of workshop • 90 minutes slot • Panel: IKEA, NESTLE and DPDHL • Objective: to create ideas and have an interactive session • Agenda • Introduction by Linda – 5 minutes • IKEA, Nestle and DPDHL to present each 10 minutes. Topics to address: describe current dialogue model, what is working well, what are the challenges, what are the benefits – short presentation – ideally max 5 slides – guiding question for presentation see page 5 - 30 minutes • Q&A with panel – 10 minutes in total • Split in groups to discuss topics suggested on page 4 – 30 minutes • Sharing solutions and wrap up – 15 minutes

Alternatives to an IFA – guiding questions for discussion • split in 3 groups • every group all questions • post it’s with suggestions • on flip chart • 30 minutes • appoint a spokes person to share the outcome • Dialogue models: • what dialogue models do you have? • what are the success criteria for a productive dialogue? • what future models do you envisage? • what topics to discuss at what level – local versus global? • Investigations of issues: • how to you deal with investigation issues – company audit only, jointly with social partners, other external parties? • what works – what does not work – what are your suggestions? • how do you report on issue found and remedy for resolution? • Solutions how to deal best with campaigns and remedy models: • how to find the balance between global and local responsibility, where do you solve issues? • what escalation processes do you have in place? • what remedy model do you have in place? • what is the most effective level to communicate solutions externally – local and/or global?
