Prepare for class by… • Taking your seat • Warm Up: • If I could talk to myself in September, I would say… AVID Unit 3: Resiliency January 28, 2013 • Agenda: • Warm Up • 2nd Semester Grades • Objectives • Students will set goals for the new semester Homework: Bring work from another class and your binder tomorrow, Goal Letters due next Monday, 2/3

  2. 2nd Semester Grades • No late work will be accepted. • You have three homework passes with which you can turn something in one day late. • I will keep track of passes • 1200 points total for this semester

  3. Mondays PSG every monday

  4. Wednesdays Study hall day-Binder check -I will check Cornell notes on the spot -Bring work from another class

  5. Goal Letters – 2nd semester • Write a 10-sentence letter to each teacher you have this semester. You’ll have a week to hand deliver. This letter can be what you want it to be, but you MUST include: • Challenges you faced last semester (be specific!). • Successes & how you accomplished them. • What you learned (about yourself and/or the content). • Specific goals for second semester. • Something you need or want from the teacher. • Other stuff you want him or her to know about you. • What do you know now that you didn’t know then? START WITH AVID! Each letter must be different and PERSONAL!
