Overview

  • BOP
    • Bi-directional transmission of patient data between RPMS and an automated medication dispensing machine (ADM) system, e.g. Pyxis, Omnicell.
  • Impacts all disciplines
      • Providers
      • Nurses
      • Pharmacy

  • Data in the BOP QUEUE file is placed into HL7 messages.
  • The network administrator determines the TCP/IP addresses, an IP address for each ADM System device, and an IP address for each RPMS IHS facility.

  • Monitors itself and reliably keeps itself running.
