  2. Stoma Care dayPromotional Afternoon Welcome to our promotional afternoon to help raise the profile of the stoma care and the role of the nurse.

By attending this promotional afternoon we hope that you will be able to : • 1: Identify the importance in the role of nurse in stoma care; • 2: To recognise the different types of stoma and associated products; • 3: To recognise abnormalities in the different types of stoma; • 4: To improve knowledge of stoma care through simulation; • 5: To be able to articulate nursing and care issues around stoma care.

  4. In the Skills Suites we have... We are very lucky to have in each room a clinical nurse specialist in stoma care along with an expert patient.

  6. Refreshments and Promotional Stands We are also very lucky in that we will have refreshments provided on the day by Coloplast.

  7. At the end of event... • There will be a chance at the end of the day for you to reflect on the day for your portfolio. • There will also be an opportunity discuss any concerns with tutors and guests. • You will also receive a certificate of attendance.
