  2. Typhus • Definition: An acute, infectious disease transmitted by lice or fleas. • Part of Speech: noun • Sentence: Anne and Margo die of Typhus.

People listened to this radio station, illegally, for news of the war that was more accurate than what the German-controlled broadcasters offered. • Part of Speech: noun • Sentence: “The radio…the BBC!   4. Secret Annex • Definition: the hiding place of the Franks, Van Daans, and Dr. Dussel • Part of Speech: noun • Sentence: The 8 occupants hide in the Secret Annex in Mr. Frank’s office building.

  5. Rations • Definition: Books of stamps or coupons issued by the government during wartime.
