  3. OTISS Update • System now being used to report all testing irregularities in NC • Users becoming more familiar with all levels of reporting • Volume of help desk calls decreasing • User feedback will be incorporated in next release • Connectivity problem resolved

  4. What’s New? • User manual has been updated and is available on TNN • New Web site also has updated manual and online tutorials • http://www.ncpublicschools.org/accountability/policies/otiss • New OTISS release on March 30

  5. Next Release • LEAs will be able to send irregularity reports to the RACs without selecting availability to school • Admin will be able to see all user accounts • Document number will be changed to Test Type/Stock ID

  6. Troubleshooting • When submitting an irregularity report, only click the submit button once or the system will generate duplicates • Be sure to enter retest dates • NCID passwords must be reset

  7. NCID Authentication • User manual has been updated to include step-by-step instructions for registering an NCID account • Idea is to have one user name and password for all NCDPI applications • Get used to it • Demonstration

  8. OTISS Authorization • Idea is account managers will know users • Be sure to select correct user level • Check SPAM box for notification emails

  9. Online Tutorial • An online tutorial on how to enter a testing irregularity report has been posted on the new OTISS web page • http://www.ncpublicschools.org/accountability/policies/otiss • More tutorials to follow • Let us know what tutorial to post next • Demonstration

  10. LEA Level Reporting • User manual has been updated to reflect new interface • All reporting features on same page • Viewed by schools feature will be changing in next release • Demonstration

  11. Filtering and Search Tips • Appendix E in updated user manual contains tips on filtering and searching • Oracle Express only shows 15 items by default • Easiest way to search is by using search window and ID number • Each column heading also searchable • Demonstration
