  3. What is the study tour? • Minor of 20 ECTS • Tour of three weeks toanothercontinent • Visiting a total of 20 companies • Tour will take place in second quartile of next year • Togetherwithparticipantsandlecturers

  4. Wheredidthey go? • 2008 – Chile & Peru • 2009 – Vietnam & Singapore • 2010 – Mexico & Costa Rica • 2011 – South Korea & China • 2012 – Brazil • 2013 – ?

  5. What does itentail? • Startedwith a committee of 4 persons, later on 6 persons • Responsibleforwholeprocess - destination country - research theme - funds - company visits - supervisionfrom Stress

  6. Company visits • Goal is toreach the number of 20 company visits subsidyfrom University

  7. Advantages of being a committee member • Organizationalresponsability • Get in touchwith big companies fromforeigncountries • Upgrade your CV • Graduationmonths ‘afstudeermaanden’

  8. Differencebetweenparticipantsandcommittee members • Next tocommittee members alsoparticipants • Committee members have supervisingrole • Both earnsamecredits, howeverjudgeddifferently

  9. My experience as an IBA-student • Goodto combine withstudy, even duringinternshipperiod • Practical way forfullfillingmy Minor instead of ‘Studyabroad program’ or other Minor.

  12. My choice • Experience by organizing • Explore the world • Take a look at a lot of different companies • Chance to improve English • Challenge to organize something from scratch for your fellow students • And of course…..
