Portrait photographer Annie Leibovitz was born October 2, 1949, in Waterbury, Connecticut. In 1970 she took a job at Rolling Stone magazine. In 1983 she began working for the entertainment magazine Vanity Fair. During the late 1980s, Leibovitz started to work on a number of high-profile advertising campaigns. From the 1990s to the present, she has been publishing and exhibiting her work. Here are some examples of Annie Leibovitz’s work. Annie Leibovitz, considered one of America's best portrait photographers, developed her trademark use of bold colors and poses while at Rolling Stone.

Mode of address her body language looks big, the camera is low so she looks big and tall and powerful, her posture looks good she looks like she is having fun and enjoying herself, she looks happy, I know this because she is smiling, her chin is up and she is standing up strait. Her eye line is indirect and her hand is on her waist this tells us she is being casual. Mode of address Also in this picture she is standing up strait and the camera is very low this makes the modal look big and powerful also the lake is the background and the old trees look old this fits in with the picture because the queen is old so it matches and fits together and does not look out of place, she also looks powerful the way she is looking strait at the camera, her eye line is direct.
Representation The woman in the photo is shown to be powerful, she looks rich, we know this because she is in a place where rich people may go Editing/effects The people who edited this may of made the setting brighter just to make the photo look more powerful representation The queen looks very happy to be there because it is her land, the queen owns all of Britain she also looks controlling because she is taking up a lot of the whole photo because she is closer to the camera than the rest of the setting. Editing/effects The people who edited this photo may of made the whole photo darker I know this because it all fits together such as her dark cape and dark clouds and the whole photo looks evil.
David baily Mise en scene He looks like he is behind bars signalling he is in jail He is really pale and he looks like he has red lip stick on and glasses this could imply He is unhappy or mysterious. Representation I think this photo is meant to look like he is behind bars, she is looking strait at the camera which looks she is focused the aim of the image is to make her look like she is trapped she has make up on and she also has a top hat on which makes her look out the ordinary. Mode of address Her body laugeuge you cant really see because it’s a close up, her eye line is direct which implies she is focused and concentrating she looks sort off happy you can tell this because you could say she is smiling it looks like this photo is edited, it looks like the brightness has been turned right up.
David baily David Royston Bailey, (born 2 January 1938) is regarded as one of the best British photographers. Born in East London, he became a photographic assistant at the John French studio, then photographer for John Cole's Studio Five before being contracted as a fashion photographer for British Vogue magazine in 1960. Along with Terence Donovan and Brian Duffy, he captured and helped create the of the 1960s. In 2012, the BBC made a film of the story of his 1962 New York photo-shoot with Jean Shrimpton.

He failed to pass the written theory paper necessary to become a photographer in the RAF, and so spent his service in the darkroom. In 1959, a photograph he took of a local London gang was published in The Observer.Between 1966 and 1984, he worked as an overseas correspondent for the Sunday Times Magazine, recording ecological and man-made catastrophes such as war-zones. Representation I think this picture is trying to show that he is a very old man, we think he is a retired solider, we know this because his medals on his blazer he is in a old peoples home and he looks like he is very relaxed and happy, the man looks very proud of himself, I think he is trying to smile, his chin is up high which shows he is proud and happy.
Don mcCullin Donald mcCullin(born 9 October 1935, Finsbury Park, London, England) is an internationally known British photojournalist, particularly recognized for his war photography and images of urban strife. His career, which began in 1959, has specialised in examining the underside of society, and his photographs have depicted the unemployed, downtrodden and the impoverished.

He was the son of Jacob Israel Avedon, a Russian-born immigrant who started a successful retail dress business on Fifth Avenue, and his wife Anna, who came from a family that owned a dress manufacturing business. He attended DeWitt Clinton High School in the Bronx, where he worked on the school paper The Magpie with James Baldwin from 1937 until 1940.
