  3. Definition • Taqleed is To Follow The Top Most Highly Learned/Knowledgeable Religious Scholar in Performing Fruay Deen

  4. Why Taqleed is Wajib? • Taqleed is Wajib (Obligatory) to Perform All Fruaee( Religious Activities) In Accordance with Fatawas of a Scholar Who Does Research in Finding The Correctness and Lawfulness

  5. Quranic References to Support Taqleed سُوۡرَةُ الاٴنبیَاء وَمَآ أَرۡسَلۡنَا قَبۡلَكَ إِلَّا رِجَالاً۬ نُّوحِىٓ إِلَيۡہِمۡ‌ۖ فَسۡـَٔلُوٓاْ أَهۡلَ ٱلذِّڪۡرِ إِن كُنتُمۡ لَا تَعۡلَمُونَ "Question the People of Remembrance if You Do Not Know." (21:7)

Quranic References to Support Taqleed سُوۡرَةُ التّوبَة وَمَا كَانَ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنُونَ لِيَنفِرُواْ ڪَآفَّةً۬‌ۚ فَلَوۡلَا نَفَرَ مِن كُلِّ فِرۡقَةٍ۬ مِّنۡہُمۡ طَآٮِٕفَةٌ۬ لِّيَتَفَقَّهُواْ فِى ٱلدِّينِ وَلِيُنذِرُواْ قَوۡمَهُمۡ إِذَا رَجَعُوٓاْ إِلَيۡہِمۡ لَعَلَّهُمۡ يَحۡذَرُونَ (١٢٢) "But Why Should Not a Party From Every Section of Them (The Believers) Go Forth to Become Learned in The Religion, and to Warn Their People When They Return to Them, That They May Beware?" (9:122)

Ahadees References to Support Taqleed • Qaala Imam-e- Sadiq (AS):" Shiatuna Ahlul war-ee wal ijtihad wa Ahlul wafa-e-wal Amanah") • This is What Imam-e-Zamana (Ajjalalla-hu-Shareef) said in a Reply to Ishaq ibn Ya'qub:"As Far as Newly Occurring Circumstances are Concerned, You Should Turn (For Guidance) to The Narrators of Our Ahadith, for They are My Proof Over You Just as I am Allah's proof

  8. Ahadees References to Support Taqleed 3. In a Tradition From Imam Ja'far as-Sadiq, Narrated by Imam Hasan al-`Askari (PUH) , He says,"...But if There is Anyone Among The Fuqaha’ (Scholars) Who is in Control Over his Own Self, Protects his Religion, Suppresses his Evil Desires and is Obedient to the Commands of his Master, Then the People should Follow him."

  10. Logical Arguments Do You Think, All 0f Us Have Sufficient Knowledge/Expertise to Understand Allah (SWT) Rulings and Its Explanations That are Given By The Prophet Mohammed (SAW) and His Beloved Ahlulbait (AS)?

  11. Logical Arguments Are We Aware of the Authenticity of the Ahadith of A’Immas and The Prophets in Aspect of The Authentic and The Non Authentic Sources? If The Answer is NO than We Must Do Taqleed of Someone Who Does

Logical Arguments • Even if The Answer is Yes Due to Our Limited Knowledge, We Might Not be Able to Look at a Masala From a Global Perspective...There are Social and Individual Perspectives to Each Masala That a Human Being Faces in his Day to Day Life. We Due to the Lack of Knowledge Might not be able to Provide Our Selves With a Satisfactory Answer".

  13. What Happens If Taqleed is not Done? • Your All A’amals (Actions) will Go Waste • You will be using your Own Judgment to Handle The Day to Day Issues Which May Not Be In Accordance with Quran and Sunnah

  14. Whom to Taqleed? We Must Follow The Most Learned Scholar who is: • Alive • Legitimate By Birth • Adult Male • Wise/Sage (A’qil) • Shia Ashnaashary (The Follower of Twelve Imams) • Just and Fair in his Dealings (A’dil)

  26. What to Do After Selecting Scholar? • Make Niyat That From Today Onward “ I Enter into The Taqleed of Ayatullah ---------- and Will be Performing All A’mals According to His Explanations of Masayils That are Given in His Risalla/Tauzeeh-e-Masayil”

What to Do After Selecting Scholar? • Obtain His Risala and Keep it Handy For References • Keep Yourself Updated to know The New Fatawas • Ask The Solutions of New Issues That Have Not Been Covered in His Risala by Either Sending Him Mail/ E-Mail or Contacting His Authorized Attorney( Wakeel).
