  5. I have a bag of counters and I don’t know how many there are of any colour. After eighty trials I have picked out the following • 22 reds • 38 blues • 20 green What would you predict is the probability of picking a blue next?

  6. In the local football derby Aston Villa are playing Birmingham City. What is the likelihood of Birmingham city winning?

  7. You toss a coin 6 times. The first 5 times it has come up heads every time? • To win you have to predict the next outcome. • What do you predict the 6th outcome will be?
