  2. Tasks planned for next Academic year (2011-2012) • Targeted to attain more success rate • Publishing of papers in Journals by M. Tech. Students on their projects • III & II year students will be trained on PCB design by the departmental staff • DIP, ES, VLSI training for IV year students under R&D, ECE • Inviting guest lecturers from DRDO. Already contacted the resource persons

Cont.. • Seminars – National level – Preparing the course structure resources from Industries like Actel, Qualcomm, Xilinx. • After finishing of every unit conduction of exam. • Preparation of solved question papers Hard/soft copy. • Industrial Tour to OM ELECTRONICS • Planned to organize two work shops

  4. Cont.. • Major Projects planning to be done at college only. • Proposal for establishment of new lab (VLSI backend design) • Guest lecturers • Release of department magazine on OCt15 • Uploading ebooks for almost all subjects

  6. Vision & Mission • Sphoorthy Engineering College caters to its mission providing the best infrastructure quality education and overall personality development within the campus. This is being strengthened by eminent faculty and various avenues within our premises.

FDP • All the faculties of ECE Department got trained by NIITTR, Chennai, Human Excellence, Rama Krishna Mutt. • Six faculties of ECE department are registered for MISSION10X. • Faculties are attended for AICTE sponsor FDP at VNRVJIET. • The faculties are utilizing E-Class rooms, OHP, Instructions with simulations.

  12. Performance • II ECE – I Sem Pass : 67% • III ECE – I Sem Pass : 56% • IV ECE – I Sem Pass : 69.84% III ECE Student Sumalatha Got 91%

  14. Achievements • ECE Students stood in Second Place in State level technical Fest organized by JNTUH • Around the state all the college students took a part in the fest and we stood in SECOND Prize • Many students participated in various technical fest, and secured prizes in various positions

  15. Cont.. • K. Varsha won the second prize in State Level Essay Competition Organized by Oil and Gas Conservation 2012 on 18/1/2012 at Hari Hara Kalabhavan. • P. Sandeep stood first position in AP talent search organized by Times of India • Three III ECE students awarded second prize with Rs3000/- cash prize in National Level Technical Quiz organized by Anna University

Events • Department of ECE took CV Raman Robotic Club • Department organized Robotics, Anthakshari in Prazasti • For Prazasthi department faculties are the Co-ordinators for Sponsors Committee, Stall Committee. • All the faculties are supported, co-ordinated, participated in all activies of PRAZASTI

  17. Cont… • The committees for annual day celebrations under ECE • Guest Receiving Committee • Prize Distribution Committee • We invited guests from DRDO scientists for “satellite Communications”

  18. Workshop organized • Department of ECE conducted one workshop on “Wireless Telecom” by ZONTA Technologies. • Directors of “ZONTA Technologies” came to workshop. • They Shown willingness to organize one more workshop with real time applications.

  19. Workshops Attended • D. Khalandar Basha attended AICTE sponsored two weeks Staff development Program at VNRVJIET • G. Parameshwar, A. Nagarjuna attended for workshop “DSP Processors and Arch” by Cranes at JNTUH. • D. Khalandar Basha attended workshop on “ Image Processing at “IIITH” • D. Khalandar Basha attended two days worksop on image processing by IETE at Osmania

  21. Professional Body • Department of ECE have Life time IETE organizational membership • Planned for IEEE organizational membership. Needed 3 faculties and 20 students should be members of IEEE.

  24. Wall Journal • Department of ECE started wall journal, on which any technical articles will be pasted. • Ms. U. Dhana Lakshmi Madam is incharge for this

  25. NSS • The IV year students started NSS and they collected the amount from individual students in all sections and donated to orphanage home in vanasthalipuram. The photos related to it are pasted in wall journal board

  27. Hand note • Department of ECE collected hand note for each subject of the I sem. • Faculties are instructed to prepare solved question papers before commencement of the sem which we want to provide for the students to decrease the dependence on all-in-ones

  28. Labs Status • The labs of the department are well equipped • We are conducted the labs as per JNTU syllabus and we conducted additional experiments than prescribed by JNTU. • All the equipment of ECE labs are serviced which are pending from long time.

  29. Department Library, EBOOKs • We are planned and collected some books to provide as reference exclusively for the faculties. • Many EBooks are uploaded in our website

  30. Training for Students • The faculties trained the students for attending the placements. Counseling and Guidelines • The faculties are counseling the students for their betterment and providing guidelines regarding subjective preparation and for project work

  31. Faculty Club • Department of ECE started faculty club.

  32. We are thankful to everyone who supported us in every aspect and we wish the same forever
