Undergraduate Student Programme • 3rd academic year (March / April): marketing / selection • general presentation of research centre and its units, • introduction into scientific topics through joint short block-seminars (2-3 days) • summer school (2 weeks) at FZJ with lectures and practical work in the laboratories • 4th academic year (winter): • 4 week session of intensive theoretical and practical courses at FZJ or partner institution combined with lectures by visiting scientists 24 May 2014 15

Graduate Student Programme • 5th academic year: Summer Student Programme (Introductory Course)3 - 6 month stay at FZJintroduction into specific research field and performance of exp‘tal work for diploma thesis • 6th academic year: 6 - 8 months stay in Jülich to complete diploma thesis and decide on topic for PhD thesis 24 May 2014 16

PhD-Student Programme (2) Yearly PhD Student Seminars and Workshops: • yearly meeting 1-2 days • PhD students in their last year present their results to all groups of the FZJ-MIPT Strategic Alliance • additional talks by senior scientists • Research groups can offer workshops on their topics and methods for students and post-doctoral fellows(this will help to establish new collaborations) 24 May 2014 18
