  2. Meeting last Friday organized by R. Schmidt to prepare and estimate the time required for hardware commissioning • In the Christmas break (9 weeks) • At the end of the 2010-2011 run • The next Christmas break will be dedicated to priority 1 items (safety of people and equipment) • Other measurements studies may be accommodated inside the schedule Monday Morning Meeting : 3rd of May 2010

  4. Hardware commissioning 2009 • Only issues critical for 5TeV have been solved. • Remaining issues will need to be solved at the end of the run • Training of main magnets • Training of correctors (MQTs, RCS, etc.) • MCBY I_PNO limitation • ...? Monday Morning Meeting : 3rd of May 2010

  5. Shutdown 2011-2012 • A the end of the 2010-2011 run, a long shutdown is foreseen to repair the 13kA splices • Anything else potentially needing consolidation should be tested before warming-up • MCBYs performance problem • QH missing in MQXA • 600 A ramp rate and acceleration problems • ...? Conclusions • Some test may be advanced and done in Christmas break • Only if they do not endanger the equipment • Input needed from YOU to fill the list We should not forget any test and find out after re-closing the machine, that a circuit is not working properly and that a consolidation* is required. *hardware change, QPS change, splice problem...
