Mental Hygiene County Community Services Board Mental Health Alcohol and Substance Abuse and Addictions Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities Mental Health System Federal – State – County provider Nearly 60 Million dollars devoted to Mental Hygiene Services in Jefferson County Millions more spent by other State and County organizations on problems related to Mental Health Disorders

3. Mental Hygiene Services Services available from Critical/Emergency to Supportive and Advocacy Includes all aspects of life: - Family - Housing - Employment - Recreation - Education - Relationships

4. Navigating the System The more complicated the problem – the more complicated the system to resolve it. Problems with finding the right place to go: Inaccurate information/ Assessments Disagreements over who is responsible for what Changing Service Agencies or Agency Services Changing Staff Changing Funding Sources Waiting Lists The Referral Merry – go – round Financial Support

5. SPOA and SPOE Children’s Home of Jefferson County Referrals Accepted for all Mental Health Issues from all sources Representatives from County Agencies attend the meetings and work to map out appropriate programming using available resources. Assign Case Manager to help work through the system
