  2. ♥About Me♥ My name is Jamesia. My future goal is to become a veterinarian. My favorite classes are literature and biology. Some of my work values are dependable, responsible, positive, and consistent. My interests are animals, family and friends. I have worked as a babysitter. My work value is doing my best.

  3. Working Conditions • Veterinarians usually specialize in pets or live stock, deal with animal owners as much as they deal with the animals. Often deal with unpleasant, angry, or discourteous animal owners. Vets also work long hour, and need a license.

  4. Nature of Work – Veterinarians care for the health of pets, livestock, animals in zoos, racetracks, and laboratories. Some vets use their skills to protect humans against diseases carried by animals. Job Outlook – Employment is expected to increase 35% over the 2006-16 decade, much faster than the average for all occupations. Occupation of Interest

  5. Training Requirements • Veterinarians must graduate with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from a four year program at an accredited college of veterinary medicine.

  6. Earnings – Veterinarians earn up to $75,000 per year. Related Occupations are chiropractors, dentist, optometrists, optometrists, physicians, surgeons and podiatrists.
