A professional intervention and service to consumers for the purpose of reducing the disability-related impediments or other barriers to employment through consistent and comprehensive application of proven principles and methods, including but not limited to informed consumer choice

Active listeningis a skill that involves listening to, and focusing on, what the other person is saying and how they are saying it with the whole of you to fully understand them, including the emotional content and significance of the words, and reflecting back the meaning so that they know they have been understood.
