1. Multi-digit Multiplication Place the largest factor on top. (Be careful to always line up your digits.)
Begin with the numeral on the furthest right of the bottom number and multiply it with the top number. (If there is a decimal, forget about it at this point.)
Move to the next numeral in the bottom number. Notice the value of that number and place a zero down in place of all the place values of the right of this numeral then begin to multiply and place the product on the right of the zero(s).
Repeat the above step for each digit in the bottom number.
Then add all the products together for the final product.
