Danish Riviera & Louisiana, Museum of Modern Art • Date Wednesday 15 August • Time 12.00 – 18.00 • The tour starts and ends at xxxxxxx • This tour brings you along the coast to the lovely countryside of North Sealand to visit the Lousiana Museum of Modern Art – this museum creates interplay between visual art, architecture and landscape. For lovers of modern art and architecture, Louisiana is a must. • Lousiana is probably the most important museum of Modern Art in Scandinavia and houses a permanent exhibition of some of the finest 20th century art - Henry Moore, Alexander Calder, Alberto Ciacometti, Max Ernst, Andy Warhole, Sam Francis as well as many others are represented in a wide ranging collection. The museum is situated in a park with huge and ancient trees sloping down towards the sound between Denmark and Sweden. • An in-house guide will show you around in the museum. • From here we continue up north along the coastline where lunch will be served at Taarbaek Inn, which is spectacularly located with a view directly to Øresund and Sweden. • After lunch you drive to Elsinore to visit the fantastic Kronborg Castle – famous from Shakespeare’s play “Hamlet” and with a fantastic history connected to the seaward approach to the Sound, Øresund. It is the most important Renaissance Castle in Norhter Europe with its monumental military fortress surrounded by major fortifications with bastions and ravelins. • The tour include: • Private busses • English Speaking Louisiana guide • Lunch at Taarbaek Inn incl. 1 beer & coffee • Dress code: • Casual and please remember to wear sensible shoes. • Price per person dkk 435 • Cancellation terms: After July 20 no refund can be expected. • Cancellation before July 20 the amount will be refunded – yet deducted an administration fee of dkk 150.
