  1. Using E-Class Understanding job evaluation review cycles

  2. This is a PowerPoint presentation of about five minutes duration. It will provide an understanding of case file review cycles and their relationship to position history. You may exit the presentation at any time simply by closing the Window. Where this arrow appears, click on it to advance the slides.

  3. Job Evaluation History vs Position History The outcome of the job evaluation process… a classification… is stored in PeopleSoft / CHIPS. E-Class keeps a record of the job evaluation analytical process.

  4. Visualizing the E-Class Data Form The top two sections shows the current position data and supporting documents. The bottom section shows the current job evaluation rating.

  5. Visualizing the E-Class Data Form The top section displays only the latest state. It offers no history. The bottom section shows the latest state and offers drill-down rating history!

  6. Viewing Evaluation History Job evaluation history is accessed by clicking the View Diary link displayed on every case file data form.

  7. Single Review Cycle Users view the rating details by clicking these hyperlinks This shows the diary for a single job evaluation review cycle. The rows are displayed in reverse chronological order, the most recent entry being Row #1. The right-hand column shows the typical stages of review, from initiation to approval notice.

  8. Multiple Review Cycles 2 1 Here is a diary showing two review cycles.

  9. Storing Evaluation History Saves Time! Storing job evaluation history in E-Class reduces the turnaround time for subsequent review cycles. Rather than conduct a complete analysis from scratch, Compensation Specialists can focus instead on the changes made to the job and its organizationalcontext.

  10. Start- and End-of-Review Markers All job evaluation review cycles must start with a diary entry = Initiated. They must end with either an Approval Notice or a Cancellation.
