  4. Meteorology • What is meteorology? • Items studied: • The study of the Earth’s atmosphere, especially in relation to weather and climate. • Weather including hurricanes, tornadoes, thunderstorms, etc.

  5. Astronomy • What is astronomy? • What is studied? • What are important instruments? • The study of the universe. • Stars, planets, asteroids, and all things in space. • Optical telescopes

  6. Other Branches • What is environmental science? • What is an ecologist? • What is geochemistry? • The study of how humans interact with the environment. • A person who studies a organisms & their environment • The studies of geology and chemistry combined.
