  2. Aims of the Evening • Review progress since the meeting at Ceddesfeld Hall in May 2010 • Report on club development • Advise on future club development • Advise on the club and 2012 • Report on actions involving the senior club discussed at AGM 2010

  3. Progress as a result of the Initiative • More people involved in; • Club Management • Coaching • Social Activities • Event Organisation As an estimate – around 20 more – all making a significant contribution

  4. Developments in the Last Year • More people involved! • Evolution of committee • Review of senior club sessions • Plans for 2012 Olympics • Joined SCA • Track Steering Group • Junior Group endurance, throws and sprints groups • Flying Coach visits

  6. How has Volunteers Initiative benefited Club internally • We have more people doing more things • Supporting senior sessions • Coaching and supporting junior sessions • Supporting social events • Supporting club events

  7. How has Volunteers Initiative benefited the Club externally • Funding – grants, support etc. • Positive perception • Attendance at events • Influence • Community involvement

  8. Scope of the Club Athletics – Seniors • Road, XC, Fell Athletics – Juniors • T&F, XC, Championships, School Champs • Coaching in ALL athletics disciplines Externally - EA, CDAN, Community, Local Gov.

  9. The Future - 1 • Rapid development of junior athletic standards • Consolidation and improvement of the senior club • Become a major club in NE Athletics • Improved results in competitions and championships

  10. The Future - 2 • Spread the Club wider geographically – North Stockton, Ferryhill, Trimdons, Spennymoor, Billingham etc. • Track • Club House/Premises

  11. The Future - 3 • Whatever we do, be it a track, coaching, social events, organising races, enjoying the social side of the club etc. our central aim is athletic development and performance in competitions and championships.
