First Citizens Bank • 1968: Anderson Bank of Dillon, S.C., grew through mergers and its name changed to the Citizens Bank of South Carolina. • 1970: The Commercial Bank and Trust Company of South Carolina merged with the Citizens Bank of South Carolina and became First Citizens Bank and Trust Company of • South Carolina, headquartered in Columbia, S.C. • 2003: First Citizens entered the Georgia market by acquiring First Bank and Trust and the Bank of Toccoa.
