Socratic Seminar

1. Who is the villain of this novel? Who is the hero? (Even though DG acts poorly, will Dorian eventually realize his wrongs and make amends?)

2. What is the “lesson” Oscar Wilde wants us to learn from Dorian and Sibyl’s relationship / breakup?

3. Sibyl says that she can no longer act now that she has experienced true love. The emotions of the stage pale in comparison to her own feelings for Dorian. Does being in love make someone a better or worse actor?
