  3. Published in July • 20 Tayside schools took part • 1847 pupils took part • Provides insight into the attitudes of young people

  4. Effect of Family in Tayside • Children who smoke regularly are more likely to come from smoking families • Non-smoking families are more likely to come from non-smoking families

  5. Tayside Secondary Schools Programme • Pupil conference leading to school plans • Each school implementing initiatives - tobacco education, diversionary activities and smoking cessation • Forum Theatre for S1 pupils

  6. Primary schools • Smoking and health 1 day dance and drama workshops. • Support materials for follow-up work in class. • Taster sessions at “The Space”. • Health summer schools.

  7. Research and Evaluation • Pupil attitudes survey • Reports from each school • Qualitative evaluation of age progression software • Evaluation of primary school workshops and S1 Forum Theatre
