Opening Remarks The past year has been marked by many changes and exciting developments at DIR for telecommunications and data center services The future holds more changes for telecommunications as the forces of change in technology bring Cloud, Mobility, Consumerization, Big Data, and other network impactful technologies to the forefront DIR is planning for the pace of change to be both “fast and vast…” and key to DIR’s continuing ability to support the pace of change is to being able to provide the underlying network services needed for these technology changes

Mega Trends & Drivers of Change – Some Interesting Facts (Source:gartner) Today, 2 billion individuals on the Web (30% of global population) and rising Today, 15 petabytes of new information every day, doubling every 18 months Today, 1.4 billion PCs and over 10 billion Internet-connected devices By 2018, 70% of mobile professionals will conduct all of their work on personal smart devices.
