  4. Cool Season Legumes Alfalfa Origin: Iran, Asia Hay usage Sensitive to soil acidity Very high nutritional value Commonly need to apply phosphorous, potassium, sulfur, and boron to the soil

  5. Cool Season Legumes • Clover • Numerous species • Arrowleaf clover • Ball clover • Berseem clover • Crimson clover • Most can be used for grazing and hay • Some have a bloat potential
