Since last week was Fall break, we did not count that as a week.
The 5th grade Quarter Market will be taking place on October 14th. Students will be able to make or bring things in to “sell” with their Behavior Bucks. Students will use their BB to “buy” items. We will be sending home more info on Monday.
5th grade Curriculum News
Reading: Continue Reading Contracts, Sequencing, Context Clues and Cause And Effect
Math: Fractions, Decimals, Percents, Division, Elapsed time, Geometry, Measurement
We will continue reviewing skills from Lessons 1-30 and test after every 5 SAXON lessons.
Language Arts: We will be starting research skills next week. At the end of the month we will begin our book project. The books will be completed at school and will be due the week before Thanksgiving. We will not be doing Shurley English for those weeks .
Social Studies: TURN in your 3 CHOICES for approval for your INVENTION PROJECT IF you haven’t already by OCT. 4.
IF you are doing the SS FAIR instead, please be ready to show us your 1st draft of your paper and your sketch of your tri-board on OCT. 5. Additionally: We are wrapping up our Civil War Unit and beginning with our Reconstruction Unit.
