In India, a Nidhi Company is a particular kind of non-banking financial company (NBFC) that specializes in member-to-member lending and borrowing. The Hindi word "Nidhi" means "treasure," and these firms aim to instill a culture of frugality and saving in their members. In India, registering a Nidhi Company entails following the guidelines provided by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) and is a methodical procedure.
