  2. Objectives • Identify problems that occur if hardware is not properly maintained. • Indentify Routine Maintenance that can be performed by user. • Indentify maintenance that should be performed by experience professionals.

  3. Hardware Maintenance ! • Keyboard & Mouse . • Clean regularly • if spill turn computer off and clean immediately • Printer -Clean the dry ink on the print head it causes blotchy spots .

  4. Computer Memory In computing, memory refers to the physical devices used to store programs or data.

Preventive Maintenance • Disk defragment -Disk Defragmenter is a utility in Microsoft Windows designed to increase access speed by rearranging files stored on a disk to occupy contiguous storage locations, a technique called defragmentation • Recycle Bin - A recycling bin (or recycle bin) is a container used to hold recyclables before they are taken to recycling centers
