A programme that feels and acts local at all times • 15 years funded by the Big Lottery Fund in 150 areas throughout England • Resident-driven, building on local talents and aspirations, creating even better places to live now and in the future • Based on an agreed Big Local vision, area profile and plan: at least £1m for grants, loans or just paying for things

  11. Think about • Who actually has the power and control (deciding vote, gatekeepers)? • Balancing accountability with flexibility: how ‘light touch’ can we be? • What’s the history of your Big Local area? • Where’s the fun and excitement? • What are the real issues to address?
