  • While Canada’s National Energy Strategy (NES) is much in line with the BC Clean Energy Act / IRP, Market Diversification needs of the NES require BC’s coast line due to its access to the Asian markets. This has environmental risks, both land and marine apart from potentially offsetting BC’s GHG emission targets of 2020 set out in the BC Clean Energy Act.
