    In special mode upgrade, kernel waste header information for

    CLX-62x0/CLX-6240.

    You have to check F/W ROM file with MFP set

    (This mode is ONLY service mode, not user mode)

    • Make sure connecting Printer to the computer with a USB cable

    • Upgrade in Ready mode

      • Send ROM image file via USB cable in Ready mode

    • Upgrade in Special mode

      • Power ON with pressing ‘STOP key’ two times

      • Change LCD message ‘Wait Image’

      • Send ROM image file via USB cable

  • Toner Empty Status should be selected option as below:

  • - Color : Stop, Continue, Mono Only

  • Mono : Stop, Continue

  • *Stop  all printing is not allowed.

  • *Continue  all printing is allowed until toner cartridge is exhausted.

  • *Mono Only  color printing data is wasted. Mono printing only allowed.

  • Invalid/Install Toner Status

  • Color/Mono/PTB : all printing operation is not allowed.

  • Exhausted Toner Status (After Empty Status)

  • Color/Mono : all printing operation is not allowed.

        • When feed sensor is not checked in limit-time after Pick- up

        • Right Cover Open /Close (check Feed Sensor and Pick-up solenoid)

      • Paper Jam1 Open/Close Door

        • When exit sensor is not checked in limit-time after Feed - In

        • Right Cover Open-> remove the paper-> cover close

          (check Feed Sensor , Exit sensor and fuser motor)

      • Paper Jam2 Check Inside

        • When exit sensor is not checked in limit-time after Exit-In

        • Right Cover Open-> remove the paper-> cover close

          (check the exit sensor)

      • Duplex Jam0 Check Inside

        • When Feed sensor is not checked in limit-time after Exit-Out

    • Cover Open : Install Transfer Belt message is toggled.

      • When right cover is opened or PTB (Paper Transfer Belt) is not installed

      • Check that PTB is installed

      • Check Right-cover switch, and PTB connector

    • Tray1(Tray2) Cassette Out

      • When Tray1- Cassette is out.

      • When tray is dedicated Tray2 in printer – driver and Tray2- Cassette is out.

  • Paper Empty / Paper Mismatch

      • When dedicated-tray is empty

    • Load A4 In MP(Tray1, Tray2)

      • When paper dedicated in driver is different with paper in tray.

      • Push the ”Stop” key , and documents will be printed continuously

        • Fusing Unit is not heated

      • Thermistor Open/Short Cycle Power

        • Thermistor level is not normal

      • Check Thermistor is not connected , Thermistor is dirty , thermostat is opened

    • Invalid Transfer Belt

      • When CRUM Interface is abnormal

      • Extract Consumables from the Printer, and push consumables to the printer again.
