Students will be able to write a letter to their parents. Students will be able to read an article and draw a family tree.

  2. Lesson One Make an introduction Step 1. Students ask the teacher for unfamiliar words and expressions in the introduction. Step 2. Students make an introduction of their family members to their classmates and answer their questions. Step 3. Students fill in a form with the information of the introduction of several classmates. Task: Students learn to make an introduction of their family members.

  3. Lesson Two Tell a story about the family Step 1. Students listen to a story about their family and get ready to answer the questions. Step 2. Students answer the questions about the story. Step 3. Students read the story and get ready to answer the questions. Step 4. Students read the story and underline unfamiliar words and expressions. Step 5. Students ask teacher for the meaning of unfamiliar words and expressions. Task . Students learn to tell a story.

  4. Lesson Three Write a letter to parents Step 1. Teacher prepares students for the letter they will be hearing by asking questions and by discussing vocabularies, ensuring that students know what they are supposed to do. Step 2. Students listen to the letter and answer the questions. Step 3. Students ask the teacher for the pattern of a letter. Step 4. Students write a letter to their parents. Task: Students learn to write a letter to their parents.

  5. Lesson Four Family tree Step 1.. Students listen to the article about family and get ready to answer the questions. Step 2. Students answer the questions about the article. Step 3. Students read the article and underline unfamiliar words and expressions. Step 4. Students ask teacher for the meaning of unfamiliar words and expressions. Step 5.   10. Philip’s family Malcolm Stewart is not alone anymore. That's for sure. In fact, he'll have his family around him every day of his life now. Finding some peace and quiet may be a little difficult. But my father won't be lonely anymore. He has me, Philip Stewart, nearby and the rest of his family. He has Ellen, his daughter-in-law. You know, I met Ellen when I was a student of the University of Michigan. Later she became my wife. We have three children now. Our oldest son is a photographer. Richard is very talented, like his grandfather. Marilyn is talented too. She designs clothing. Marilyn is Richard's wife and she's also a sister-in-law to Susan. Susan is my daughter. Susan reminds us of her grandmother, Bernice Cassidy Stewart, my mother. She was kind, intelligent and loveable, like Susan. Susan has two brothers, Richard and Robert. We call him Robbie. He's our other son. He loves his grandfather very much. Well, that's our family, the Stewarts.
