  1. The Lord Showed Me A Tree Exo.15:25

  2. The Ark That Saved And Protected God's People • The ark was the only refuge from the wrath of God against sin - Gen. 6-9 • The tree (gopher wood) was able to provide for the safety and protection of man • Perhaps you can see a faint glimpse of the tree that carried man to safety

  3. The Wood Isaac Carried For His Own Sacrifice • The Lord faintly shows us again a tree on which ultimate sacrifice is given, the giving of an only begotten son - Gen. 22 • In Isaac we see trust & innocence toward his father and the mission • In Abraham, we see that love and loyalty to God was deep and pure

  4. The Olive Tree Furnished Olive Oil For Fuel and Light • The daily work of gathering the olives, and squeezing out the oil and replenishing the lampstands was not an easy life - Num. 3:9; Zech. 4:2ff • The burden was constant, and the labor could not be mismanaged or delayed

  5. The Olive Tree Furnished Olive Oil For Fuel and Light • But, the source of energy and light was just as constant • Through the daily grind and often boring repetition, the Lord was showing the Israelites how to keep needed energy and light

  6. The Burning Bush Where Moses Met God • The bush burned but was not consumed - Exo. 3 • Moses was drawn by curiosity to the burning bush, met God, and learned of his mission from God

  7. The Burning Bush Where Moses Met God • It was here that Moses learned that something divine, holy, and sacred was engulfing this bush and would engulf his own life • At the bush he was confronted with challenge, mission, purpose, and destiny
