My resume also boasted an internship at the UNEP, which I got through the ABS. I joined Bell Canada in June 2010 as Business Process Coordinator which is • essentially focused on creating and managing an interface for the number • one Canadian company. • My integration into the company was facilitated by my international • mindset, making work relationships with Quebecois Francophones and Canadian Anglophones smooth. I will soon be responsible for implementing the interface I created into the Ontario Bell branches, as well as training the employees and creating new tools that will suit their business needs. If you’re in Montreal someday in the near future, feel free to get in touch!

  4. How I made it to a Financial Analyst position at HSBC • By TahaLahbabi, graduate Dec.2010 • Each year, thousands of students from all over the world will strive to obtain the highest grades and honors. But in this competitive world, it is not enough to aim for the best marks. • You have to develop at the same time an edge, something that makes you special and different from your competitors. You need to focus on what makes you different, play on your strengths and correct your weaknesses as much as possible. • As a student at the American Business School, I made sure to perform on both the academic and extracurricular sides: • I finished my degree in 2½ yearswhile being on the Dean’s list every semester. My results were part of the reason why I was accepted to IESE Young Talent Program. • At the same time, I played for two basketball teams, including our University’s team competing in the highest division of the French championship. • Shortly after my graduation, I decided to move in London. • I applied to various companies, but I felt particularly attracted by HSBC. I thus went to their webpage and sent an email to their Senior HR Manager regarding their graduate openings. • After one week, I received an answer from the HR department giving me the steps to apply for a Financial Analyst position in their Amanah branch, based in Dubai. • After a series of tests, I had my final Assessment Center day at HSBC’s famous headquarters in London. This was the occasion to meet very brilliant and kind students – who became friends! – from the most prestigious universities, as you can expect from an HSBC recruitment session. It was also the occasion to see if HSBC really fit my values and vice-versa. • This was a very intense but a rewarding day. • Two days after my round of interviews, I got an offer that I joyfully accepted and make sure to do my best on. • Because you need to remember: the first step might be to get your foot in the door, but after that, it’s up to you to escalate the ladder! • Contact école • Sepideh Roshani • Admissions and Communication Manager • sroshani@groupe-igs.fr • 01 40 03 15 28
