The resume of my life • Objective: many resumes will include an overall goal of a candidate; usually stating what type of position for which they are looking. • Skills: near the top of a resume, candidates will list relevant skills; with technological advances these are often keywords that a search engine might pick up so that a resume gets noticed. • Work History: one of the most important parts of a resume, candidates give a summary of previous jobs and highlight applicable work experience. • Education: candidates list relevant degrees or diplomas, especially relevant if a position requires a certain level of education. • References: some resumes include a list of character references for the employer to contact to find out more about the candidate.

OBJECTIVE • “…one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” Phil. 3:13-14 • “For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.” Philippians 3:20 • Matthew 6:33, “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”

OBJECTIVE • Heaven, Seek kingdom first, Please God, Provide for family, Preach, Do good, Good example • My Objective: To allow God’s word to influence my life in such a way that I love my wife as Christ loved the church, train my daughter in the way she should go, cause God to be glorified by my example, sow bountifully the seed of God’s word, and in all things please God so that I can live eternally in Heaven with my brethren.

SKILLS • Professionalism: Conforms to a high standard of appearance, conduct, and communication. • People skills: Initiates conversations with customers; possesses strong communication skills, oral and written; maintains composure in handling stressful situations. • Competent: Possesses applicable skills and experience (computer, cash handling, etc.); able to analyze and solve problems; pays close attention to procedures and details. • Sales-oriented: Observant of sales opportunities; takes initiative and has enthusiasm for accomplishing goals. • Team Player: Gets along well with co-workers; is coachable, trainable and willing to take correction; demonstrates respect and loyalty to each member of the team. • Integrity: Honest, ethical, and trustworthy; handles confidential information appropriately; takes accountability for actions; follows through with commitments.

And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books.”

WORK HISTORY • How many brethren have you restored? • James 5:19-20, “Brethren, if anyone among you wanders from the truth, and someone turns him back, let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death and cover a multitude of sins.” • Who have you helped when they were in need? • 1 John 3:17, “But whoever has this world’s goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him?” • What type of influence have you had on your family? • Proverbs 31:28, “Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her.”

EDUCATION • “always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.” 2 Timothy 3:7 • 2 Timothy 3:16-17, “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” • Learn to be like the Bereans who “searched the Scriptures daily.” Acts 17:11
