  1. An Un-Triumphal Entry(But You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet!) Luke 19:28-44

  2. When Considering God’s PlanBegin With The End In Mind And I saw heaven opened; and behold, a white horse, and He who sat upon it is called Faithful and True; and in righteousness He judges and wages war. And His eyes are a flame of fire, and upon His head are many diadems; and He has a name written upon Him which no one knows except Himself. And His is clothed with a robe dipped in blood; and His name is called The Word of God. And the armies which are in heaven, clothed in fine lined, white and clean, were following Him on white horses.

  3. And from His mouth comes a sharp sword, so that with it He may smite the nations; and He will rule them with a rod of iron; and He treads the wine press of the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty. And on His robe and on His thigh He has a name written, “KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS”.

  4. He Is Working Out His PlanAnd He Is In Control Of The Details And after He had said these things, He was going on ahead, ascending to Jerusalem. And it came about that when He approached Bethphage and Bethany, near the mount that is called Olivet, He sent two of the disciples, saying, “Go into the village opposite you, in which as you enter you will find a colt tied, on which no one yet has ever sat; untie it, and bring it here. And if anyone asks you, ‘Why are you untying it?’ thus shall you speak, ‘The Lord has need of it’”. And those who were sent went away and found it just as He had told them. And as they were untying the colt, its owners said to them, “Why are you untying the colt?” And they said, “The Lord has need of it.”

  5. And they brought it to Jesus, and they threw their garments on the colt, and put Jesus on it. And as He was going, they were spreading their garments in the road. And as He was now approaching, near the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude began to praise God joyfully with a loud voice for all the miracles which they had seen, saying “BLESSED IS THE KING WHO COMES IN THE NAME OF THE LORD; Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!”

  6. Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout in triumph, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your king is coming to you; He is just and endowed with salvation, humble, and mounted on a donkey, even on a colt, the foal of a donkey. Zechariah 9:9 (520 B.C)

  7. He Is Working Out His PlanAnd He Is In Control of The Schedule And some of the Pharisees in the multitude said to Him, “Teacher, rebuke Your disciples.” And He answered and said, “I tell you, if these become silent, the stones will cry out!”

  8. Seventy weeks (“sevens”) have been decreed for your people and your holy city to finish the transgression, to make an end of sin, to make atonement for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most holy place. So you are to know and discern that from the issuing of a decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until Messiah the Prince there will be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks; it will be built again, with plaza and moat, even in times of distress. Then after the sixty-two weeks the Messiah will be cut off and have nothing… Daniel 9:24-26 (536 B.C.)

  9. From the issuing of the decree to rebuild the wall until it’s completion: (7 x 7 = 49 years) • From the walls completion to the announcement of the Messiah the Prince: (62 x 7 = 434 years) • 483 years x 360 days = 173,880 days • Artaxerxes issued a decree to grant the Jews permission to rebuild the wall March 5, 444 B.C. • 173,880 days later is March 30, 33 A.D. Somebody is going to say something …even if it’s the stones!

  10. Who Has A Better Plan? • He’s God—we’re not. • He knows all things—we need instruction manuals to put together our kid’s toys. • He understands us intimately—half the time we can’t figure ourselves out. • He has power over the events of our lives—we’re weak even on steroids. • He knows what’s best—at best we’re just guessing. • His sovereign hand is holding all things together—we’re just trying to get through the day.

  11. He Is Working Out His PlanAnd He Is Very Serious About It And when He approached, He saw the city and wept over it, saying “If you had known in this day, even you, the things which make for peace! But now they have been hidden from your eyes. For the days shall come upon you when your enemies will throw up a bank before you, and surround you, and hem you in on every side, and will level you to the ground and your children within you, and they will not leave in you one stone upon another, because you did not recognize the time of your visitation. How serious are you about His plan?
