  1. Yotopia Yotopiayoga and Pilates studio in central London. Variety of yoga and Pilates classes including hot yoga. Excellent teachers and luxurious facilities.

  2. The Hot Yoga Studio • The method of heating we use is “Hot and Humid”. In addition to heat, we use humidity to improve the detox process and support deep breathing. Plus, a constant stream of fresh oxygen is pumped into the studio to ensure you’re maximising your oxygen intake. • The studio is heated to approximately 35 degrees centigrade (temperature varies a little dependent on the style of yoga or pilates being taught), and also incorporates an integrated humidification system which dampens the air, assisting breathing, and also aiding the sweating and detoxification process. • The heating system has also been designed to ensure that optimum levels of fresh oxygen are pumped into the studio, and old air is extracted. High levels of oxygen and lower levels of toxin-coated older air will also ensure your experience is enhanced. • A class in this studio will make your body work harder, enhancing cardiovascular endurance, and allowing your muscles to stretch more deeply and more safely. The sweat will aid detoxification and circulation.

  3. Benefits of Hot Yoga • Hot Yoga offers additional benefits to traditional yoga: • Detoxification: sweating on a regular basis allows the body to release toxins and waste from within providing room for vital nutrients and hydration. Be prepared to sweat in your hot yoga class! • Healthy connective tissue: yoga opens the body’s connective tissue. Hot yoga enhances this process, allowing the body to stretch more fully, lubricate and renew, resulting in greater flexibility and energy • Boosts immunity: viruses cannot survive in high temperatures, so increasing the body’s core temperature fights infections, which are pushed out through the sweat.  Practicing hot yoga also increases the body’s production of white blood cells, which fight infection. • Weight Loss: stretching deeper builds more muscle, which burns more fat. Hot yoga can result in weight loss.  Diet also improves as the body craves healthier food when practicing regularly • Stress release: the intense focus required in yoga helps to quieten the mind, resulting in greater focus, and clarity of thought. Working more deeply with the breath results in a more calm approach to life generally

  4. Hot Classes • The hot classes at Yotopia include more traditional vinyasa yoga postures and sequencing as compared to some other styles of hot yoga, where you will learn the importance of the breath in movement, as well as getting a full body and mind workout; and be prepared to sweat! • In addition, Yotopia’s hot classes offer a unique chance for a graduated steady improvement, with classes from beginners to advanced.  In this way you can be sure that you’re surrounded by practitioners at a similar level, whilst having the chance to move on to a more demanding class when you’re ready for the challenge. • Hot Yoga Flow: A hot yoga class, incorporating flowing, vinyasa style sequencing. Vinyasa yoga develops strength, flexibility, and balance. Includes elements specific to the class and teacher. “Vinyasa” means synchronised breath with movement – which relaxes the mind and helps release energy blockages. The addition of the heat will rid your body of toxins and make you sweat! • Hot Dynamic Yoga: An intense, fast paced hot yoga class, incorporating strong dynamic vinyasa sequencing and challenging postures. Vinyasa yoga develops strength, flexibility, and balance. Includes elements specific to the class and teacher. “Vinyasa” means synchronised breath with movement – which relaxes the mind and helps release energy blockages. The addition of the heat willrid your body of toxins and make you sweat!

  5. Pilates • Pilates is a complete exercise method developed by Joseph Pilates in the early 20th century. Pilates uses a method of physical exercise to strengthen and build control of muscles, especially those used for posture.  Awareness of breathing and precise control of movements are integral components of Pilates.

  6. 7. Pilates Classes • Pilates: a ground breaking Pilates-based workout incorporating spiral rotations and pulsing movements in a continuous flowing sequence, which give a whole body workout and improve the strength of the body’s tissue, while paying great attention to all the stabilising muscles.
