  2. Merchant Banking Merchant Banking is a combination of Banking and Consultancy services. It primarily caters to the needs of corporate firms. Merchant Banking started in India during 1967, but made rapid progress since 1970.

  3. Types of Merchant Banking activities undertaken by Vijaya Bank Debenture Trustee Services Banker to Issue ASBA facility for IPOs, FPOs and Rights Issues Demat Services Cash Management Services Money Transfer Services Bancassurance

  4. Debenture Trustee Services If the debenture issued by the company has maturity period exceeding 18 months, then appointment of debenture trustee is mandatory as per the SEBI guidelines. Vijaya Bank has registered with SEBI as Debenture Trustee with Registration No. IND000000020.

  5. Banker to Issue Activities performed by banker to issues such as application submission, applications which include money from investors are known as Banker to an issue. Vijaya Bank is undertaking following activities as a Banker to an issue: Collecting Banker Refund Banker Paying Banker

ASBA facility for IPOs, FPOs and Rights Issues ASBA stands for “Applications Supported by Blocked Amount” In this case, when an investor applies for an IPO, the amount gets blocked in his bank account and is debited only when shares are issued to him. Eligibility: All Resident Individuals, HUF and QIBs maintaining a SB/Current/Operative Account holding a Pan No:, Demat a/c at any of the Vijaya Bank branches.

  7. Demat Services Online trading of Vijaya Bank is offered in association with IDBI CAPITAL MARKET SERVICES LTD. An integrated 3-in-1 account is offered for this purpose which includes Vijaya Bank Operative Account. Vijaya Bank Demat Account Online trading Account

  8. Cash Management Services Following Cash Management Services are provided to corporate clients at all branches of Vijaya Bank: Local Cheque Collection Facility [LCC] Upcountry Cheque Collection Facility [UCC] Bulk Cheque Collection Facility DD Drawing Arrangement

  9. Money Transfer Service Scheme (MTSS) MTSS is one of the easiest and quickest way to transfer personal remittances from abroad to beneficiaries in India. Only inward remittances into India is possible; outward remittance from India is not covered under MTSS.

  10. Bancassurance Vijaya Bank is a corporate agent for LIC of India and United India Insurance Company Ltd. Insurance requirements (life and non-life) can be availed at all branches of VijayaBank.
