When he was eight years old, Dr. Richard Nel first tried out the sport, and was instantly hooked. Already a horseman, Dr. Nel appreciated the sport’s style of meshing horsemanship with direct person-to-person competition. The horses, fast-pace, skillfulness and aggression of polo kept Dr. Richard Nel attached to the sport for decades to come.
