INTRODUCTION Thisprogramhasbeendesignedtohelpimmigrantswillingtooperatea businessinBritishColumbiarelocatetotheprovince.BritishColumbiaInvestor ProgramispartofBCPNP.Thisprogramisforallthosewhointendtostarta businessinBCorarewillingtoinvestinarunningbusinessinBritishColumbia. Suchaninvestorshouldhaveenoughbusinessexperienceandshouldhavethe rightknowledge. Theinvestmentshouldensurethatthereis – i.Enoughstimulationforeconomicgrowth ii.Creationofjobsforlocalslivingintheprovince Theapplicantshould – i.IntendtoliveinBritishColumbia ii.Ownatleast33.33% ofthesharesinthebusiness iii.Participateintheeverydayactivityofthebusiness

Theapplicantshouldprovetheireconomicviabilityforthisprogram.Thatis,theTheapplicantshouldprovetheireconomicviabilityforthisprogram.Thatis,the investorshouldbereadytoinvestaminimumofCAD $200,000.Theapplicant shouldpresentabusinessplanshowingthefutureroadmapofthebusiness alongwiththegrowthplan. TheonlyotherwaytorelocatetoBritishColumbiaistoparticipateintheskilled immigrationthroughBritishColumbiaProvincialNomineeProgram. Theapplicantwillneedtosubmittheironlineregistrationaftertheyhave thoroughlyevaluatedtheirstandpoint.TheinvestorshouldreceiveanInvitation toapplyafterthepre-applicationhasbeencleared.Oncetheinvestorhas receivedtheirITA,theyneedtosubmittheirapplicationin4months’ timealong withtherequireddocumentsandthebusinessplan.

  4. Therewillbeathoroughassessmentconductedfortheprogramfollowedbyin-Therewillbeathoroughassessmentconductedfortheprogramfollowedbyin- personinterviewoftheapplicant. Theinvestorshouldhavemadethemandatoryvisittotheprovincetoresearch aboutthebusinessandthelocationofthebusiness.Theinvestorwillhaveto signaBusinessPerformanceagreementwiththegovernmentofBritish Columbiapostwhichtheapplicantwillreceiveacertificateofconfirmationfrom BritishColumbiafortheEntrepreneurprogram.Withthiscertificate,the applicantcanobtainworkpermitwiththeIRCC.Thisworkpermitwillbe providedforaperiodof18months,duringwhichtime,theapplicantshouldset uptheirbusinessandgetitrunning. Theimmigrantwillthenproduceareportoftheprogress.OncetheCanada immigrationsaresatisfiedwiththereport,theywillissueanotherITAforthe investortoapplyforCanadaPermanentResidency.
