He has also been an independent broker. Tom Brough of Chicago is a licensed life insurance agent, a registered investment advisor, and a hedge fund manager. He has twenty years of experience as a financial advisor.

Tom is the manager of the Brough Family Charity, where a percentage of his firm's earnings are donated to different charitable organizations. He founded Brough Investment Advisors in 2009, not long after successfully completing a certified financial program at Northwestern University.
