The NCTRC Certification Exam • The NCTRC Certification Exam is a “Computer Based Test” (CBT) • The exam is open to individuals who have been awarded Professional Eligibility to sit for the exam and current and former CTRSs who are using the exam for recertification or reentry To continue, press enter...

  3. The NCTRC Certification Exam... • is offered three (3) times a year • January • May • October • Each exam is offered over a 5 day period • Monday through Friday To continue, press enter...

The NCTRC Exam is a variable length examination • During the administration of the examination, each group of questions is timed separately. • The base test is completed by all candidates and consists of 90 questions for which you have 86 minutes. You are permitted to move back and forth within the base test, but the base test may not be reviewed once it has been exited. To continue, press enter...

A score is given after the base test. • Upon completion of the base test of 90 questions, you will receive (a) a passing score ending the exam; (b) a failing score ending the exam; or (c) a score that falls in a range that is neither failing nor passing and you will move on to another section.   6. If you go on beyond the base test... • The additional sections are called “testlets”, each containing 15 questions and lasting 14 minutes. You are permitted to move back and forth within each testlet, but each testlet may not be reviewed once it has been exited. To continue, press enter...

A score is given after each testlet... • At the end of each testlet, the same scoring decision as used at the end of the base test will occur and the exam will either end or continue. • If you receive the base test and all testlets (total 180 questions), you will have a maximum of 3 hours of seat time. The NCTRC Exam is offered at hundreds of US and Canadian cities • Go to www.2test.com to check on NCTRC exam locations • Go to find a test center • Pick the NCTRC Exam and then pick your state in the US or province in Canada • Then you can find out where the NCTRC exam will be given in your area • The NCTRC Exam is ONLY offered in the US and Canada.
