  10. P r o d u c t O v e r v i e w A screw pump is a type of positive displacement pump whose design is similar to the shape of a screw. The spindle of the screw pump is in the shape of an Archimedes screw, which is responsible for pumping action in the pump. Working: Liquid enters the inlet at the bottom of the screw and is further driven by the spindle. Upon rotation, a suction pressure is built at the bottom resulting in formation of a centrifugal force, causing the liquid to move upward towards the spindle/outlet. P r o d u c t O v e r v i e w Screw Pump Types Product Name Basic Definition Single- Screw/Progressive Cavity Single screw pump is also called progressive cavity pump which has one shaft that is slightly twisted in the shape of a screw, and is housed in a pumping chamber that is usually rubber lined up. Twin screw pumps is for high power applications such as heavy oil pipeline transfer. One of the screw is driven from the heavy motor or engine which moves fluid by continually displacing the area that the fluid occupies. Twin Screw Pumps Triple screw pumps are used in power & metallurgy industry which are used for applications such as hydraulic cooling, lubrication and fuel transfer.
