  6. Asthalin Inhaler (Generic Albuterol Sulfate Inhaler) Uses of Asthalin 100 mcg Inhaler : Asthalin Inhaler (Generic Albuterol Sulfate Inhaler) is a beta2-adrenergic agonist which is used in patients 4 years of age and older for the symptomatic relief and prevention of bronchospasm due to bronchial asthma, chronic bronchitis and other chronic bronchopulmonary disorders in which bronchospasm is a complicating factor. Asthalin Inhaler is also used in patients 4 years of age and older for the prevention of exercise-induced bronchospasm. Albuterol (Salbutamol) belongs to the family of medicines known as adrenergic bronchodilators. Adrenergic bronchodilators are medicines that are breathed in through the mouth to open up the bronchial tubes (air passages) in the lungs. They relieve cough, wheezing, and trouble breathing by increasing the flow of air through the bronchial tubes. 11. Asthalin Inhaler (Generic Albuterol Sulfate Inhaler) Warnings Inhaled Albuterol Sulfate (Salbutamol Sulphate) can produce paradoxical bronchospasm, which may be life-threatening. In case paradoxical bronchospasm occurs, Asthalin Inhaler should be discontinued immediately and alternative therapy instituted. Need for more doses of Asthalin Inhaler than usual may be a sign of deterioration of asthma and requires reevaluation of treatment. Asthalin Inhaler is not a substitute for corticosteroids. Excessive use may be fatal. Do not exceed recommended dose. URL: URL: https://www.theswisspharmacy.com/product_info.php?info=p9812_Albuterol-Sulfate-Inhaler.html https://www.theswisspharmacy.com/product_info.php?info=p9812_Albuterol-Sulfate-Inhaler.html © The Swiss Pharmacy

  12. Asthalin Inhaler (Generic Albuterol Sulfate Inhaler) Warnings Cardiovascular effects may occur. Use with caution in patients sensitive to sympathomimetic drugs and patients with cardiovascular or convulsive disorders. Albuterol, like all other beta2-adrenergic agonists, can produce clinically significant cardiovascular effects in some patients as measured by pulse rate, blood pressure, and/or symptoms. Although such effects are uncommon after administration of Albuterol Sulphate (Salbutamol Sulphate) at recommended doses, if they occur, the medicine may need to be discontinued. The use of beta-adrenergic agonist bronchodilators alone may not be adequate to control asthma in many patients. Early consideration should be given to adding anti-inflammatory agents, e.g., corticosteroids, to the therapeutic regimen. 13. Asthalin Inhaler (Generic Albuterol Sulfate Inhaler) Warnings Immediate hypersensitivity reactions may occur after administration of Albuterol Sulphate (Salbutamol Sulphate) inhalation aerosol, as demonstrated by cases of urticaria, angio-oedema, rash, bronchospasm, hypotension, and anaphylaxis. Discontinue Asthalin Inhaler immediately in case hypersensitivity reactions occur. Albuterol, like other sympathomimetic amines, should be used with caution in patients with convulsive disorders, hyperthyroidism, or diabetes mellitus and in patients who are unusually responsive to sympathomimetic amines. Albuterol should be administered cautiously to patients with thyrotoxicosis. Large doses of intravenous Albuterol have been reported to aggravate preexisting diabetes mellitus and ketoacidosis. Hypokalemia and changes in blood glucose may occur. 14. Asthalin Inhaler (Generic Albuterol Sulfate Inhaler) Warnings Other short-acting sympathomimetic aerosol bronchodilators should not be used concomitantly with Asthalin Inhaler (Generic Albuterol Sulfate Inhaler) . If additional adrenergic drugs are to be administered by any route, they should be used with caution to avoid deleterious cardiovascular effects. Beta-blockers not only block the pulmonary effect of beta-agonists, such as Asthalin Inhaler, but may also produce severe bronchospasm in patients with asthma. Therefore, patients with asthma should not normally be treated with beta-blockers. 16. Asthalin Inhaler (Generic Albuterol Sulfate Inhaler) Possible Side Effects During studies with adolescent and adult patients with asthma side effects that occurred at a rate of 3% or greater in group treated with Albuterol HFA and more frequently in the group treated with Albuterol HFA than in HFA-134a placebo were: showed common (3% or greater reported) adverse reactions – ear, nose and throat irritation, lower respiratory, upper respiratory inflammation, viral respiratory infections, cough and musculoskeletal pain. Side effects reported by less than 3% of the adolescents and adult patients receiving Albuterol HFA and by a greater proportion of subjects receiving Albuterol HFA than HFA-134a placebo inhaler and that have the potential to be related to Albuterol HFA include diarrhea, laryngitis, oropharyngeal edema, cough, lung disorders, tachycardia, extrasystoles, palpitation and dizziness. 17. Asthalin Inhaler (Generic Albuterol Sulfate Inhaler) Asthalin Inhaler Overdosage The expected signs and symptoms with overdosage of Albuterol (Generic Albuterol Sulfate Inhaler) are those of excessive beta- adrenergic stimulation and/or occurrence or exaggeration of any of the signs and symptoms of beta-adrenergic stimulation ( e.g., seizures, angina, hypertension or hypotension, tachycardia with rates up to 200 beats/min, arrhythmias, nervousness, headache, tremor, muscle cramps, dry mouth, palpitation, nausea, dizziness, fatigue, malaise, insomnia, hyperglycemia, hypokalemia, metabolic acidosis). As with all inhaled sympathomimetic medicines, cardiac arrest and even death may be associated with an overdose of Asthalin Inhaler. 18. Asthalin Inhaler (Generic Albuterol Sulfate Inhaler) Treatment of Asthalin Inhaler Overdosage Treatment consists of discontinuation of Asthalin Inhaler together with appropriate symptomatic therapy. The judicious use of a cardioselective beta-receptor blocker may be considered, bearing in mind that such medication can produce bronchospasm. There is insufficient evidence to determine if dialysis is beneficial for overdosage of Asthalin Inhaler (Generic Albuterol Sulfate Inhaler) . 19. Asthalin Inhaler (Generic Albuterol Sulfate Inhaler) Asthalin Inhaler During Pregnancy Albuterol Sulfate Inhaler (Asthalin Inhaler) has been classified by the US FDA as Pregnancy Category C. Administration of Asthalin Inhaler during pregnancy should only be considered if the expected benefit to the mother is greater than any possible risk to the foetus. As with the majority of drugs, there is little published evidence of the safety of Albuterol in the early stages of human pregnancy, but in animal studies there was evidence of some harmful effects on the fetus at very high dose levels. There are no well-controlled human trials that have investigated effects of Albuterol (Salbutamol) on preterm labor or labor at term. Because of the potential for beta-agonist interference with uterine contractility, use of Albuterol Inhaler during labor should be restricted to those patients in whom the benefits clearly outweigh the risk.
