  2. Practices of home remedies using desi ghee Home remedy is the medical attention or care given to the individual with various oils, vegetables, spices and herbs which are easily available. Dry throat and cough Ghee has an antibacterial property which in turn helps to reduce cough. • Chew a peppercorn and have a teaspoon of ghee thereafter. Remember that you should not drink water after having it. Digestive health • Mix 1-2 teaspoon of ghee in hot milk and drink it before you go to bed. As organic grass fed ghee has the presence of butyric acid which helps in easy digestion of the food.

  3. Canker sore • Apply a little amount of ghee in the region of the canker sores and keep it for sometime. Then rinse your mouth with plain water. As ghee has a cooling effect it gives a soothing effect and also helps in reducing the sores gradually. Clogged nose • Heat a little amount of ghee to lukewarm temperature and pour few drops of ghee into your nostrils. By doing this ghee travels all the way to the throat and reduces the infection. Weight loss • The presence of Omega 3 and 6 amino acids which help in weight loss. Thus, a specific amount of ghee i.e, 1-2 spoonful of ghee is recommened to be added in the balanced diet.

  4. Hair care • Make a pack with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 2 tablespoon of pure desi ghee. Apply the pack over your scalp and hair and wash your hair after 30 minutes. • You can also apply ghee all over your hair and cover it with a shower cap before you sleep. Wash your hair in the morning. Apply shampoo to avoid greasy feeling. By following this method Skin care • Mix 2-3 tablespoons of gram flour, a teaspoon of turmeric powder as well as pure desi ghee. Add few drops of milk until it becomes a paste. The paste should neither be too thick nor running. Apply the pack anywhere on your body and wash it with plain water after it dries for about 20-25 minutes.
