  1. WORKING AS A TRANSLATOR: TIPS TO REMEMBER Individuals working as translators typically need to have a bachelor’s degree and expertise in multiple languages. Translators work on a variety of projects which could include, but are not limited to, scientific documents, legal documents, literary projects, educational resources, and online content. A piece of literary content, made formal and rigid will not flow or read well; at the same time, translating a more formal document requires a more formal tone.
