  1. The Importance of Helping India’s Underprivileged Children When we say underprivileged children, we mean children from sections of society that do not have access to good food, health, education, and other necessities of life. There has been debate and discussion around finding ways to support the needy ones, but the reality remains intact – underprivileged children with no resources available to them. While a lot has been done to improve access of India’s underprivileged children to most of the development parameters, there is a lot that still needs to be done. There is not a single day when a child does not die because of starvation or from a critical illness caused by no or untimely treatment. Many children still struggle with access to quality education in the country. The plight of losing a life due to a lack of money or treatment can be felt only by the families who suffered the loss. Under the National Rural Health Mission, significant steps have been taken to improve healthcare for India’s children’s but still there continue to exist large gaps in these areas. Numerous government schemes running to accommodate them with required help

  2. are out there, but the question remains – is it serving its purpose? Are they really being catered to? We all know the answer. According to a published report published by research centre Oxford Poverty and Human Development Initiative (OPHI) and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), India has the world’s highest number of poor children, with more than 97 million or about 21.8 per cent of the Indian child population between the ages of 0 and 17 years. It’s a concerning figure that none of us can ignore. The reason it is called a concerning figure is that children are the country’s future, and by not taking necessary steps at the right time, we are putting the future at risk. As individuals, we hold within us the power to make a difference. Whether through volunteering, supporting NGOs, or supporting policies aimed at the welfare of underprivileged children, our actions can transform lives and shape a brighter future. Charitable donations online have contributed to significant changes happening around. These donations have helped several NGOS undertake programs on the ground to being about long term impact. Foundations working towards helping the underprivileged section of society play a huge role in getting all the necessary work done. They are bridging the gap between the donors and the beneficiaries. These NGOS in turn, being not for profit, are dependent on individual donors, corporate donations to charity and donation platforms to raise the funds required to execute their programmes. If we all extend our help and come together, hand in hand, and embrace the untapped potential that lies within India’s underprivileged children, the big issue can be dealt with ease. Let us weave a chain of compassion, love, and support, helping them towards a future where dreams know no bounds. How does our contribution make an impact? Equal Opportunities: Giving has made it easy for everyone to access equal opportunities. It helps bridge the gap between the privileged and the underprivileged, ensuring equality in society as well. It helps ensure that all children have equal opportunities. Human Rights and Social Justice: Living a normal life is every human’s right, and by participating in social causes, you give life to people. Those smiling faces looking back at you instill happiness and joy in us. Nation Building: When you contribute to the well-being of a child, you contribute to building a nation. These children represent the future generation of leaders, innovators, and contributors to society. Working for them is a direct contribution to building the nation. Long-term Impact: When we do something for the greater good of children, it has a lasting impact on their lives and on future generations as well. These acts influence people, community, society, and people. Moral Importance: Every human being is equal, and the sentence itself carries a strong message that it is evident for all of us to take care of others’ well-being. It is a collective

  3. responsibility to work towards building a healthy society, and corporate donations to charity have done a pretty good job in making this happen. Conclusion If we commit ourselves to helping them to the best of our capabilities, we can create a world where every child’s heart beats, where no dream is too big, and where the promise of a better tomorrow is within reach for all. When we all are a step behind in extending our support and help, there is an NGO, Genesis Foundation, which has been working for over 22 years and supporting the medical treatment of underprivileged children born with a Congenital Heart Defect (CHD). Partnered with 39 hospitals, Genesis Foundation helps children diagnosed with CHD whose family income does not exceed 20,000 INR a month. Since the beginning, they have given 4200 plus children a chance at life. = The Foundation accepts charitable donations online along with support from individual donors and support from corporate partners. In most cases, a single intervention can give a child a chance at life. Source URL - https://businessfig.com/the-importance-of-helping-indias-underprivileged-children/
