Why We Made a Change

Demographics and lifestyles make a difference l.jpg

Demographics and Lifestyles Make a Difference

  • Medical cost increases continue to outpace inflation

  • Alcon’s aging workforce and low turnover rate mean even greater increases in medical costs and more lost productivity over time (obesity and high risk factors)

  • Unhealthy lifestyles lead to more health care risks and increased medical costs

    • containing health risk escalation for healthy individuals

    • identifying health risks and improving health status for individuals “at risk”.

  • Goal #2 - If ill-health presents itself, provide access to high quality medical care at the appropriate level and in the most cost effective manner.
