SWAAD 2005 – A Taste of India Highlights.

  • 600+ guests.

  • Ticketed event. Students – 10 USD, Non-students – 12 USD, Children – Free.

  • The biggest annual fund-raiser of AID-TAMU – 6000 USD.

  • 50+ student volunteers. Cooking done by students.

  • Extensive Reaching Out program.

  • Festival of lights – light-based displays and exhibits.

  • Discovery of India – An Indian Classical Music audio presentation.

  • Transcendental Emotions – A video show of Bollywood film songs.

  • A collage and photo exhibit stall.

  • A handicraft stall.

  • An ethnic-wear stall.

  • A Mehendi stall.
